Avoiding the Peak Times

If you’re planning a trip of a lifetime and would love to opt for a Caribbean cruise aboard the Jewel of the Seas, or head off towards the Mediterranean or Alaska this year, but you want to ensure best value for money and save as much as you can on your ticket, it’s not just the online deals on Caribbean cruises and beyond that you should keep an eye out for. Making savings could be as easy as going out of season, avoiding the peak times and ensuring that your cruising experience is as affordable, but as worthwhile, as possible. Budget seasons are available in all destinations – use this handy informative list for further insight into the best times for cheaper sailings.

The Caribbean

Autumn is a perfect time to secure a budget deal, with Caribbean cruises as well as Mexico, being at rock bottom prices. The deals could be due to the lack of pre-Christmas travelling but it’ll also be down to the hurricane season being a little off-putting, with most of these storms being between August and October. If you choose to gamble and book an autumn cruise, make sure you invest in travel insurance, in case your sail is cancelled or delayed.

Alaska

Choose a sailing between May and September to secure the best budget deals. The flora, fauna and wildlife are less plentiful during these months and the weather is a little cooler, but you also have an increased chance of catching the Northern Lights which is a reason in itself to head north.

Mediterranean

Travelling to the Med during the winter months will provide reasonable deals compared with the peak seasons, largely due to the milder climate and less appeal. That being said, it’d still be a holiday to remember.

Start planning your cruise today and pay attention to the budget seasons. Whether it’s Caribbean cruises you’re after or a jaunt on the Med, affordable deals are waiting for you.
